The Juniper Networks E-series Edge Router web-based training (WBT) course is a self-paced course that focuses on product overview, installation and initial configuration, service procedures, and troubleshooting of Juniper Networks latest hardware platform. It is designed to provide those who handle the hardware during the installation and service procedures with detailed technical information and handling demonstrations. Alternative media such as graphics, animation, and streaming videos are used to help facilitate and enhance learning.

Course Objectives

Upon completing the Juniper Networks E-series Edge Router WBT course, you should be able to:

  • Describe the system hardware architecture of the E-series platform.
  • Present the operating features and functions of the E-series platform.
  • Instruct personnel about the installation procedures of the E-series platform.
  • Define the service procedures for the E-series platform.
  • Troubleshoot system failures to the FRU (Field Replaceable Unit) level and replace defective FRUs.

Course Prerequisites

  • A general knowledge of TCP/IP protocols and addressing.
  • A familiarity with TCP/IP applications such as Telnet and FTP.
  • A clear grasp of the differences between bridging and routing.
