This guide provides an overview of the service activation engine (SAE) and describes how to use it. The guide also describes how to use Juniper Networks routers in the SDX network, and how to use the NIC to locate subscriber management information.

The SDX-300 software is the current implementation of the Service Deployment System software. We refer to the product throughout the documentation simply as the SDX software.
