Creating a Client Certificate for the Router

You can use the same certificate for the router that you used for the SAE; however, for a higher level of security, we recommend that you create a separate certificate for the router. There are two ways that you can create a router certificate:

• Use JUNOS router commands to obtain a certificate for the router from a certificate authority, see Obtaining a Certificate from a Certificate Authority in the JUNOS System Basics Configuration Guide.
• Create a router certificate the same way you created an SAE certificate. See the following sections:
