Procedure to Install a License

To install an SDX license:

1. Start the directory server. See Chapter 7, Defining an Initial Configuration.
2. Configure local properties for the type of license you plan to install. See Creating and Configuring Local Properties Files.
3. Install the license. See the section that explains how to install the type of license that you have:

• Installing a Pilot License
• Installing a Server License

4. Verify that the license is installed properly. See Verifying a License.
5. For a server license, start the license server, see Operating the License Server.
