Configuring BGP Sessions (J-Web Procedure)
J-Web Configuration allows you to create BGP
peering sessions.

Note:
To configure BGP sessions a license must be installed
on the switch.

To configure a BGP peering session :
- In the J-Web user interface, select Configure> Routing >BGP Routing.
- Enter information into the configuration page for
BGP, as described in Table 1.
- To apply the configuration, click Apply.

Uniquely identifies the device.

Type the switch's 32-bit IP address, in dotted decimal
notation.

|
Enables or disables BGP.

- To enable BGP, select the check box.
- To disable BGP, clear the check box.

Autonomous System Number
|
Sets the unique numeric identifier
of the AS in which the switch is configured.
|
Type the switch's 32-bit AS number, in dotted
decimal notation.
If you enter an integer, the value is converted to a 32-bit
equivalent. For example, if you enter 3, the value assigned
to the AS is 0.0.0.3.

Peer Autonomous System Number
|
Sets the unique numeric identifier of the
AS in which the peer host resides.
|
Type the peer host's 32-bit AS number, in dotted decimal
notation.
If you enter an integer, the value is converted to a 32-bit
equivalent. For example, if you enter 3, the value assigned
to the AS is 0.0.0.3.

Peer Address
|
Specifies the IP address of the peer host's
interface to which the BGP session is being established.
|
Type the IP address of the peer host's adjacent interface,
in dotted decimal notation.

Local Address
|
Specifies the IP address of the local host's
interface from which the BGP session is being established.
|
Type the IP address of the local host's adjacent interface,
in dotted decimal notation.
